"The body is currently in RSCM (Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital), later we will take care of it for the funeral," said East Jakarta Mayor M. Anwar while inspecting the location of the fire, reported by Antara, Thursday, March 25.

He said that his party would fully assist the funeral process.

M. Anwar added that the fire accident at the rented house was suspected to have been caused by an electrical short circuit.

"The cause of the temporary fire from the police was short circuit. So, an investigation is being carried out," he said.

Previously, he also expressed his condolences to the victims who died in the fire accident in Matraman.

"Of course, the city government, the Police Chief and the Dandim, the Governor have our deepest condolences, I hope this incident will not happen again in the future," he added.

M. Anwar did not specify when the funerals for the 10 victims would be carried out, including their location.
