Iptu Rudiana Not Present When Saka Tatal Undergoes The Pocong Oath Ritual

Saka Tatal's attorney, Farhat Abbas, said Iptu Rudiana was not present at the pocong oath ritual to strengthen the evidence that her client was not involved in the murder of Vina and Eky in Cirebon, West Java, in 2016.

"Rudiana was not present and only bullied by challenging the pocong oath. We have been waiting for her presence since morning, but there has been no confirmation," said Farhat in Cirebon as reported by ANTARA, Friday, August 9.

Farhat said Rudiana and her attorneys' absence showed that they only cornered the convicts, including Saka Tatal, regarding the deaths of Vina and Eky.

Saka Tatal performed a pocong oath ritual at Padepokan Agung Amparan Jati Cirebon to prove and convince the public that his client was not involved in the case.

"They (Rudiana's side) mocked us and Saka Tatal as if we lied and were involved in murder. Today Saka Tatal proved his willingness to bear the risks in the world and the hereafter," he said.

Meanwhile, Assistant Head of Padepokan Agung Amparan Jati Sanusi said Saka Tatal arrived at the pavilion at around 10.30 WIB to undergo the pocong oath accompanied by his attorney.

The pocong oath procession begins with a bath and is followed by Saka Tatal wearing a cloth that is witnessed by hundreds of people.

"Our pavilion has prepared equipment, such as cloth and flowers. After arriving, Saka Tatal was immediately wrapped in a cloth and underwent an oath," Sanusi said.

Sanusi said Iptu Rudiana was previously scheduled to perform a similar ritual. However, after Saka Tatal completed his ritual, the father of the victim Eky was not present.

"Saka Tatal has vowed to pocong, if he is not involved in this case," he said.

Previously, Saka Tatal and his attorney had submitted a Review (PK) to the Cirebon District Court regarding the deaths of Vina and Eky in 2016.

In this PK effort, they submitted about 10 new pieces of evidence for review by the Supreme Court so that Saka Tatal could be acquitted of charges and could restore his good name.
