Invite Wife To Watch Hajj 2024, Cak Imin Reported To MKD DPR On Alleged Abuse Of Authority

JAKARTA - Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin was reported to the House of Representatives Honorary Court (MKD) regarding the alleged abuse of authority as Head of the 2024 Hajj Supervisory Team (Timwas).

The reason is, Cak Imin included his wife, Rustini Murtadho in a group of Hajj surveillance to Saudi Arabia.

"Because there are allegations of abuse of authority or power inviting a wife to be involved in the Hajj team. Now that is contrary to DPR RI Regulation Number 1 of 2015 concerning the code of ethics. That is what we report," said Chairman of the Indonesian Law Padepokan, Musyanto during a report to the DPR MKD, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, August 5.

Musyanto said that evidence of indications of abuse of authority by Cak Imin would be submitted to the MKD in full in the next two three days.

Including the visa used by Cak Imin's wife and the budget used to accommodate his wife.

"Immediately, just as soon as possible so that the MKD can follow up. The suspicion is that there is misuse for the use of the budget, for the personal benefit of his family," he said.

Musyanto claimed that the report became public supervision of the DPR to jointly build a healthy country. He denied that his reporting to MKD was related to the current PKB and PBNU conflicts.

"Oh nothing, we are outside of that. There is no business, we are not people, members are there," he said.

Musyanto also supports the Hajj Angket Special Committee which is rolling in the DPR. "If we support the Special Committee because it is the right of the council members, how to supervise. Anyway, related to the good of the state, we support us, it is impossible for us not to (support, ed)," he concluded.
