Mukomuko Hospital Imposes Disciplinary Sanctions To Specialist Doctors For Extortion To BPJS Patients

MUKOMUKO - The Mukomuko District Hospital, Bengkulu Province, stated that it had imposed disciplinary sanctions on specialist doctors for allegedly carrying out illegal levies (extortion) on BPJS Health participants who were patients. "Sanctions against these doctors are in accordance with Government Regulation (PP) Number 94 of 2021 concerning Civil Servant Discipline," said Director of Mukomuko Syafriadi Hospital when contacted from Mukomuko, Antara, Sunday, August 4. Mukomuko Hospital gave a disciplinary punishment in the form of a written warning because a resident of Mekar Mulya Village, Penarik District, named Eka Kurnia Wati, was asked for money to get the lump operation he suffered by a doctor at Mukomuko Hospital. Even though the patient who is a resident of Mekar Mulya Village, Penarik District is one of BPJS Health participants through an independent route and uses national health insurance for treatment. In imposing sanctions on unscrupulous doctors who commit violations, there are stages. He explained that the stages started from disciplinary punishment in the form of a written warning, later his party will go to the next stage. "We follow the stages according to the rules, there is a verbal and written warning, if there is a procedure regarding dismissal," he said.
