Vice President Asks IPDN To Prevent Junior's Peloncoan

JAKARTA - The Vice President (Wapres) has asked the Institute of Domestic Administration (IPDN) to continue to make various efforts to prevent the practice of coaching between seniors and juniors.

"This must continue to be done, IPDN has made various efforts to prevent this from happening. Now, the inspection system is kind of experiencing changes, there are transformations, I think, and all universities are the same, all official schools are the same," said the Vice President as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, August 1.

The vice president conveyed this when giving a press statement on the HIGH Speed Train at Tegalluar Station, Bandung Regency, West Java, Thursday, after attending the Inauguration of the Young Civil Service Institute of Domestic Administration (IPDN) of the XXXI Force in 2024 at the IPDN Campus, Sumedang Regency, West Java.

The vice president said that there have been several times the practice of coaching in IPDN so that IPDN is also asked to make improvements so that this incident does not happen again.

"In the past, it often happened because of that, IPDN was asked to make improvements so that things like persecution was carried out by seniors to their juniors," said the Vice President.

He said the practice of coaching was not only in IPDN, but also in other universities.

"Not only at IPDN, but also in other places on the cruise, it also experienced the same thing, even in other universities, the same thing," said the Vice President.

Therefore, said the Vice President, currently the orientation of campus studies and introductions (ospects) is more guidance and education.

"In the past, it was called a broker, now it's called an opportunity. We changed it more in nature to provide guidance to provide education between seniors and juniors. Even so, there are still like what happened yesterday on the cruise," said the Vice President.

Previously, in his mandate at the inauguration of the 2024 IPDN Youth Civil Service of the XXXI Force, the Vice President stated that a praja officer had been equipped with knowledge to be practiced, not only knowledge in politics, law and government, but also provision for understanding culture, character, and community habits.

Therefore, said the Vice President, a praja officer is required to have the ability to coordinate and collaborate with all components of the bureaucracy, as well as be able to build good communication and understand the aspirations of the community.

"In addition, you must also be able to find new innovative, fast, and effective ways of working. Leave the old ways of slow work, inefficients, and convoluted procedures," said the Vice President.
