IVE To SEVENTEEN, Rows Of K-pop Artists Delay Content Over Dozens Of Condolences Of Jeju Air Tragedy

JAKARTA - The tragedy of the Jeju Air plane crash at Muan Airport took place on Sunday, December 29 morning local time. Until now, the inspection process and rescue efforts are still ongoing on the Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

A Jeju Air passenger plane carrying 181 people crashed at Muan Airport, South Korea. The accident killed 179 people, with two passengers reportedly safe.

Because of this incident, a number of artists and public figures announced the postponement of content release. Not a few artists also expressed their condolences to the bereaved family.

G-Dragon uploaded a photo of his brand logo, Peaceminusone with a different version where all flower petals are visible. He added a yellow ribbon emoji in the photo caption section.

Super Junior's Siwon wrote a tweet containing prayers to the bereaved family. "I sincerely pray for the comfort and peace of God to accompany the bereaved family who have fallen into despair due to this unexpected accident," Siwon wrote.

Actors Kim Hye Soo and Park Ji Hoon shared a photo of a similar flower with a message. "We are saddened by the tragedy of Jeju Air. We express our condolences."

Starship announced IVE will delay the release of several teasers for their mini albums scheduled for December 29 and 30.

The SEVENTEEN-BSS unit has also postponed the release of a teaser for the single album TELEPARTY which is scheduled for December 29 until an undetermined time. Likewise with Joshua SEVENTEEN's postponed birthday celebration.

V BTS also postponed the release of its birthday content as a form of respect. Although V is currently in the military service, the agency is preparing special content for his birthday.
