Batam City Government Disburses IDR 4 Billion For Paskibra Training Camp

JAKARTA - The Batam City National and Political Unity Agency (Kesbangpol) has budgeted a training camp for Batam City-level flag-raising troops (paskibras) of IDR 4 billion.

Head of the Batam City Kesbangpol Agency, Riama Manurung, said that this year as many as 40 high school, vocational and MA students, began undergoing the 2024 Paskibra training camp starting from July 29 to August 18, 2024.

"This is the second year that the Kesbangpol Agency has been in charge and takes care of postgraduate activities. Because the Kesbangpol Agency does not have a dormitory for paskibras, since July 29, we have kept them at hotels according to the existing budget," said Riama in Batam, Riau Islands Province (Kepri), Thursday, August 1, confiscated by Antara.

He said that this year the Paskibra participants also decreased from the previous tofu from 60 people to 40 people.

"This reduction was from last year, because this year there was an simultaneous election, then the initial postgraduate activity was 60 participants, so only 40 participants. Adjust the existing budget," he said.

Riama said the Rp4 billion budget includes the implementation of the selection to lower the flag on August 17, 2024, including lodging facilities, transportation, clothing, and health.

"The facilities are of course lodging, meals, and snacks three times a day, because they are studying at night," said Riama.

As for a number of lessons carried out at the post-graduate training camp, namely row-line training, learning related to the ideology of national insight given by the TNI-Polri, the National Resilience Institute (Lemhanas), the plenary-paskibra, and the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP).
