JAKARTA - At least 60 people were poisoned by mass at the TikTok office in Singapore. 57 of them are undergoing medical treatment at the hospital.
The Straits Times reported that Wednesday, July 31, a poisoned Singaporean TikTok employee experienced symptoms of stomach pain and vomiting.
Singapore Civil Defense Forces, ambulances, fire engines, and mass decontamination vehicles docked at the Tiktok office after receiving reports of the incident.
Quick handling was carried out for those affected by the paramedics' examination at the office located in Singapore's business district.
"We are investigating the matter and working with relevant authorities," said a spokesman for ByteDance, the parent company of Tiktok, quoted by CNBC, Wednesday, July 31.
ByteDance also ensures treatment and recovery of its employees who are victims of mass poisoning.
The Food Agency and the Singapore Ministry of Health also said they would conduct an investigation into this incident. Meanwhile, the number of victims of mass poisoning was 60 people with symptoms of gastroenteritis.
"As of July 30, 2024, 60 people have reported to be experiencing symptoms of gastroenteritis," wrote ByteDance's statement.
