JAKARTA - Aji Aditama (23) and Tofantia Aranda Stevhanie (21) have officially become suspects in cases of abuse of two minors, MF (2) and RC (4). As a result of their actions, the two victims suffered injuries all over their bodies. One critical victim and another victim were traumatized, both of whom are now being treated at the Police Hospital. What is the motive?

North Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Gidion Arif Setyawan revealed, Aji Aditama and Tofantia Aranda Stevhanie had the heart to abuse MF and RC because they were upset. The two victims were not their children, but the cousins who were entrusted.

What makes Aji and Tofantia often emotional is that the two parents of the victim never give money for the living expenses of their two children.

"Because he was entrusted and then felt that he was not given money for life, he committed violence against children," Gidion told reporters at the North Jakarta Metro Police, Wednesday, July 31.

Kombes Gidion said the victim's parents had been outside Jakarta since a few weeks ago. He conveyed that the victim's parents had also been informed and asked to come to Jakarta for this incident.

"Incidentally, the families of the victims were in Solo, and one was in Papua. To this day the parents have not been able to attend here. And we have communicated for those concerned to come to Jakarta," he said.

Continued to the money issue, the victim's parents were said to have not kept their promise to send money for the needs of the two victims' lives. So that made the two perpetrators feel annoyed. The conflict between the victim's parents and the suspects also occurred over the problem.

"It has occurred since July 21, there has been a conflict between parents. Karana was entrusted, then felt that she was not given money for living expenses, so she committed violence against children," he said.

"Well, this is an example, this is what is used to have a suspect (showing a gesper, hammer, iron ruler), a hammer is used to hit the legs, then this is the shirt the victim used when experiencing the last violence," he continued.

"And we will conduct a crime scene investigation, because it is suspected that from the results of the examination there was a collision on this wall we must conduct a crime scene investigation. We have to process the crime scene because there is no evidence of video or CCTV at the location," he said.

The two perpetrators have been arrested and named as suspects. Meanwhile, the two victims have received medical treatment at the Police Hospital.

"Currently, 2-year-old children are undergoing intensive care, maybe they will even carry out several operations in some of their bodies. And the other one is also in intensive care due to acute traumatic and dehydration. Both are in the Police Hospital," he explained.
