JAKARTA - Former Secretary General (Secretary General) of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Lukman Edy arrived at the Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) Executive Board Office to fulfill the summons of the special committee tasked with exploring the relationship between PBNU and PKB. Lukman arrived at the PBNU Office earlier than the scheduled summons. Originally, Lukman was asked to attend at 12.30 WIB. At 12.07 WIB, Lukman arrived and went straight to the room. Before entering the elevator to the 5th floor, Lukman gave a statement regarding his purpose of arrival. To support his statement later, Lukman brought a number of documents containing the articles of association and household budget (AD/ART) to documents regarding the relationship between PBNU and PKB. "I don't know what PBNU wants to ask yet, but yes, I'll just prepare the document I have. There is an AD/ART, there is a document document on the establishment of the party, a short history of the party, basically the relationship between PBNU and PKB is like what," said Lukman, Wednesday, July 31. At today's summons, Lukman was present alone. According to him, the special committee will again summon other PKB elites in the next meeting. "If the news is next, that's it. Next. Right, it's impossible for me to give the information myself. It must be something else," said Lukman. The special committee in charge of investigating the relationship between NU and PKB or the Special Committee for PKB started working today, Wednesday, July 31. In the summons letter with the letter number 2077/PB.03/BI.03.08/99/07/2024 which was circulated last night, Lukman Edy was summoned to provide information. The letter has also been signed by the Deputy Chairperson of PBNU KH Amin Said Husni and Deputy Secretary General Faisal Sahimima. Meanwhile, Lukman was summoned to appear on the 5th Floor of the PBNU Building, Jalan Kramat Raya, Central Jakarta, this afternoon at 12.30 WIB.

Previously, PBNU stated that it plans to form a team of five or special committees aimed at seizing PKB to return to its original ideology. This was done because the PBNU elite saw that PKB was no longer on the path of NU ideology and was only controlled by Muhaimin Iskandar and his crafts. The formation of this special committee will resemble a team that initially gave birth to PKB in the past. This special committee will also certainly work effectively when it comes to approval from Rais Aam KH Miftachul Ahyar and PBNU General Chair KH Yahya Cholil Staquf.
