Through The RIIM Scheme Proposal, BRIN Prepares IDR 300 Million Research-Based Startup Funds

JAKARTA - The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) prepares funds of up to IDR 300 million per year to fund startups based on research results through a proposal for the Startup Research and Innovation Funding Scheme for Advanced Indonesia (RIIM).

"Through this program, startups can build businesses and get profitable investments through commercialization and downstream research results to create economic value," said BRIN Deputy for Research and Innovation Facilitation Agus Haryono in socializing the receipt of the proposal for the RIIM Startup Funding Scheme which was followed online in Jakarta, Friday, July 26, was confiscated by Antara.

Agus explained that the RIIM Startup Scheme is a competitive and open funding scheme throughout the year organized by the BRIN Research and Innovation Funding Directorate.

This scheme, he said, aims to encourage the development of research results, both from the BRIN environment and from other research institutions, such as universities, local governments, and so on to be competitive and independent.

The selected proposers from the selection, he said, will take part in a maximum of six months of pre-incubation and participants who graduate from mentoring are entitled to funding of up to IDR 300 million per year.

"In addition, it is possible that proposers who have passed the incubation from the incubator/ministerial can follow this scheme. If they pass the selection, this startup can be facilitated without the need for pre-incubation," said Ajeng.
