BOGOR - Officials within the Education Office have been victims of extortion by fake Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) members worth IDR 300 million.

The four officials include the Head of the Sarpras Division of the Education Office, Warman and Yanto as the Head of Subkor from the Sarpras field.

Separately, when confirmed by the Acting Regent of Bogor, Asmawa Tosepu said he asked the media crew to confirm directly with the Head of the Bogor Regency Communications and Information Office regarding this matter.

"Please confirm it with the Head of the Kominfo Office because I just got it from the news in the media. Thank you," said Asmawa Thursday, July 25 evening.

KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika detailed that this fake actor had the initials YS. The arrests began with a report from an extorted official.

He said, there was someone who was later identified with the initials YS who claimed to be a KPK employee. Where the person concerned blackmailed the reporter.

"The reporter said that he was asked for some money by the person in question in this case YS," continued Tessa.

Receiving this report, the KPK sent a team consisting of investigators and the Inspectorate. The goal is to ensure whether or not the employee status of the person is correct.

After the person was found to have received money from the reporting party, the team secured the person in question at the Mang Kabayan restaurant, Bogor Regency at around 13.30 WIB.

From there, the team took him to the KPK's Red and White Building. From the results of the temporary clarification that is currently still ongoing, it was concluded that the person had a temporary conclusion that the person was not a KPK employee and only operated alone.

Furthermore, investigators found Rp300 million in cash, an iPhone cellphone, and a white Porsche car with police number B 1556 XD.
