Cirebon District Court Affirms Saka Tatal PK In The Case Of Vina Cirebon Decided By The Supreme Court

JABAR - Chief Justice of the Cirebon District Court (PN) Rizqa Yunia said that the reconsideration (PK) attempt submitted by the Saka Tatal petitioner would be decided by the Supreme Court (MA) after the trial process in Cirebon was completed.

"Before this trial we closed, we remind you again that this PK case that gave the verdict or granted it was the Panel of Judges in the Supreme Court," said Rizqa on the sidelines of the trial at the Cirebon District Court, Wednesday, July 24, which was confiscated by Antara.

Rizqa explained that the Cirebon District Court only received PK submission files, including new evidence or novum that had been submitted by the Saka Tatal legal team on July 8, 2024.

After this file was received, his party immediately held an inaugural trial with the agenda of reading the PK memory by the applicant's legal team.

He said the trial process went smoothly, namely that Saka Tatal's attorney could convey the PK memorandum listed on 55 sheets of documents belonging to the applicant.

"The applicant's attorney has submitted the PK memory reading. However, the respondent asked for time to respond, we gave him time," he said.

Meanwhile, after the submission, he said, the trial would continue with the agenda of submitting responses from the respondent, namely the public prosecutor regarding PK memory.

Rizqa said that if there were no problems, the second trial stage would be held at the Cirebon District Court on Friday (26/7), around 09.00 WIB.

"The applicant and the respondent are expected to attend. Because in this case we only accept case files, do not decide on the PK case. Only accept, then send them to the Supreme Court," he said.

Meanwhile Krisna Murti, one of Saka Tatal's attorneys, said that at the inaugural trial his party had explained in detail the novum proposed to strengthen the PK to be granted.

He said that a total of 10 novums had been submitted to the Cirebon District Court, one of the main points of which was to doubt the murder that caused the loss of Vina and Eky's lives in 2016.

"There are 10 novums or the latest evidence that we believe, this case is an accident. We ask for and ask for, examine carefully and clearly this novum. So that it can grant PK," he said.

Krisna emphasized that her party is optimistic that the PK will be granted by the Supreme Court, so that Saka Tatal can truly be free from all accusations as a guilty person in the Vina and Eky cases.

PN only received the file, then sent it to the Supreme Court with the novums we submitted. Don't hesitate, don't be afraid. Because this will be dispatched to the Supreme Court, we ask that this novum be seen clearly," he said.
