Minister Of Religion Affirms Hajj 2025 Is Still Being Held By The Ministry Of Religion

Minister of Religion (Menag) Nasaruddin Umar emphasized that the pilgrimage in 2025 will still be held by the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) in coordination with the Hajj Organizing Agency (BPH).

"Next year's Hajj is still being held by the Ministry of Religion and in coordination with BP Hajj," Nasaruddin said at the DPR Commission VIII Working Meeting as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, December 4.

He said this was decided to ensure that the 2025 Hajj would continue to run well, even for the better, even though there was a new government transition followed by the existence of BPH.

"In addition to the rules contained in Law Number 8 of 2019 concerning the Implementation of Hajj and Umrah, this is also due to the process of organizing the 2025 Hajj that has taken place. It is very important to ensure that the implementation of the 2025 Hajj runs well and smoothly, even better than in previous years," he said.

This was conveyed by Nasaruddin as well as to respond to questions from Commission VIII of the DPR regarding the certainty of the parties who were the organizers of the 2025 Hajj, which was conveyed by the Chairman of Commission VIII DPR RI Marwan Dasopang when giving a meeting delivery.

On the same occasion, Nasaruddin Umar also assured Commission VIII of the DPR RI that the Ministry of Religion and BPH will coordinate well in realizing the principles of organizing Hajj in the coming year.

These principles include organizing the 2025 Hajj which must be successful.

It is known that during the new administration or under the leadership of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, BPH was formed as independent institutions separate from the Ministry of Religion so that the government could focus more on improving the implementation of worship to a safe and comfortable Holy Land. The statement was made by the Head of BPH Mochamad Irfan Yusuf.

Despite BPH, Minister of Religion Nasaruddin said there was no change in the structure in the Directorate General (Ditjen) of Hajj and Umrah Organization of the Ministry of Religion.
