Arne Slot Not Focusing On Mohamed Salah's Social Media Commotion

JAKARTA - Liverpool manager Arne Slot said he was not focused on what the club said on social media after striker Mohamed Salah sparked further speculation about his future with cryptic posts on his personal X account.

The photo shared on Monday, January 6, 2025, shows Salah standing on a free-kick with team-mates Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk.

The three players will expire on their contracts at Anfield by the end of the season and have been the subject of intense media highlights in recent months.

"I talked to my players. So, if something worries them, they will share with me. It hasn't happened until now."

"What I did with the players was to show them what we could do better against (Manchester) United."

"What we did well against United because I thought especially in the first half, we created some very good chances."

"The mentality we showed was down 0-1, that's what every fan and manager wants to see."

Previously, it was known that Mohamed Salah uploaded a photo that made wild balls on social media.

He also responded to criticism from former Liverpool player Jamie Carragher, who suggested to be more silent like Virgil van Dijk about his contract.

"I'm starting to think you're obsessed with me," Salah wrote in a tweet about Carragher's criticism that was also focused on Alexander-Arnold.

Mohamed Salah has indeed been most vocal in voicing his frustration regarding the absence of progress in contract talks with Liverpool.

Last week, he even made a statement that he was preparing for this season to be the best season if he had to leave Anfield.
