Democrats Give Letter Of Assignment Of Former GAM Commander Forward To Aceh 2024 Pilkada

The Central Executive Board (DPP) of the Democratic Party issued a letter of assignment for the candidate for Governor of Aceh to the former GAM Commander Muzakir Manaf alias Mualem to face the 2024 Aceh Pilkada.

"This decision has gone through the consideration of the Head of Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) and the approval of the MTP led by Mr. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY)," said Secretary General of the Democratic Party DPP, Teuku Riefky Harsya, in Banda Aceh, Wednesday, July 24, confiscated by Antara.

In the letter number 445/ST/Cacada/Satgas.Pd/VII/2024, the Democrats gave a mandate to Mualem to immediately consolidate preparing for the coalition, including capturing and determining the duet pair.

The Deputy Chairman of Commission I of the DPR RI said that the granting of this assignment letter was one of the party mechanisms that had been through the approval of the Party High Council (MTP) which was led directly by the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia, SBY.

Then, for the candidate for Deputy Governor of Aceh, he said, the Democrats gave it entirely to Mualem. His party did not deny that so far there had been talks with the Gerindra DPP (for representatives).

Because, indeed the two parties have the same spirit in guarding the peace and development of Aceh.

"We provide an opportunity for Mualem to recruit the best representatives, who are able to contribute to winning and help Mualem when leading later," he said.

He added, related to communication across political parties, it is still being carried out, especially with Gerindra leaders.

"Because Pak Prabowo and Pak SBY have the same spirit in guarding peace in Aceh," said T Riefky Harsya.

As is known, before the Democrats, the Gerindra Party DPP through Secretary General Ahmad Muzani on Monday, July 21 announced their decision. Namely carrying Mualem as a candidate for Governor of Aceh 2025-2030.
