Six people died after a gunman entered a nursing home in Croatia and carried out the shooting.
A man with a firearm entered a nursing home in the city of Daruvar, about 120 kilometers east of the Zagreb capital on Monday, July 22. The perpetrator opened fire on those there, Croatian Radiotelevision (HRT) reported.
Several people were also injured in the shooting, said HRT, without specifying the exact number.
Five victims died at the scene, according to HRT. state news agency HINA reported some of the injured received medical assistance hours after the shooting.

"We are shocked by the killing of five people" in a nursing home, Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovi said in a post on social media, prior to the death of the sixth victim reported by CNN.
"We extend our condolences to the families of the victims and hope for healing for the injured. I expect the authorities authorized to determine all the causes of this horrific crime," said Plenkovi Badminton.
