The Deputy Secretary General Of PDIP Was Questioned By The KPK Regarding Procurement In The DJKA Bribery Case

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said the investigation by the Deputy Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Yoseph Aryo Adhie was examined regarding the procurement process by the DJKA Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub). He is suspected of knowing the fraudulent practices that occurred so that he was summoned as a witness on Thursday, July 18.

"The witness was summoned and asked about the knowledge surrounding the process of procuring goods and services at DJKA alone and not outside of that," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika when confirmed by VOI, Monday, July 22.

Meanwhile, regarding Yoseph's claim that investigators had asked him about the meeting with the Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Budi Karya Sumadi, Tessa did not want to elaborate further. "Because the investigation material has entered, it cannot be submitted first," said the spokesman with the investigator's background.

As previously reported, PDIP Deputy Secretary General Yoseph Aryo Adhie admitted that he had been questioned by the KPK on Thursday, July 18 yesterday. He was asked a number of questions when he was present as a witness in the bribery case of the Ministry of Transportation's DJKA, including his photo with the Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Budi Karya Sumadi.

"Called regarding my photo with Pak Budi Karya Sumadi," said Yoseph in a written statement.

In addition, he claimed to be asked about the operation of the Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin winning team in the 2019 presidential election. At that time, Yoseph was the head of the team secretariat chaired by Erick Thohir before serving as Minister of SOEs and Hasto Kristiyanto as team secretary.

As for the meeting with Budi Karya, Yoseph admitted that at that time he reported the operation of the house of aspirations of Jokowi-Ma'ruf volunteers whose address was at Jalan Proclamation, Central Jakarta.

"Because of the formation of the Aspiration House at the beginning as directed by Erick Thohir as the head of the winning team, the operation of the Aspiration House was handled by Pak Budi Karya Sumadi," he explained.

"I went before Pak Budi Karya Sumadi on the orders of Mr. Hasto Kristiyanto in his capacity as secretary of the Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin winning team," he said.
