PKB Supports NasDem Deputy Chairman Ahmad Ali-Abdul Karim Aljufri In Central Sulawesi Gubernatorial Election

PALU - The National Awakening Party (PKB) expressed support for the pair Ahmad Ali and Abdul Karim Aljufri (AA), as candidates for governor and deputy governor in the regional head elections (Pilkada) simultaneously in 2024.

"Political decisions taken by the PKB DPP have considered various aspects, namely the impact on the people of Central Sulawesi and the main coalition party of PKB," said Deputy Chairperson of PKB Jazilul Fawaid as reported by ANTARA, Friday, July 19.

He admitted that although Ahmad Ali was not a PKB cadre, his track record was very good as an entrepreneur, members of the DPR and Deputy Chairperson of the NasDem Party. Ali even served as head coach of the national team (Timnas) to win Anies-Muhaimim (AMIN) in the 2024 presidential election.

Gus Jazil asked all party cadres and administrators at all levels to win the pair. He said, although there were various views on the decision, what was prioritized was focusing on winning and supporting the party's decision, for the advancement of Central Sulawesi.

To carry one pair of candidates in the Central Sulawesi Pilkada, 20 percent of the 55 seats in the Central Sulawesi DPRD for the 2024-2029 period are needed.

The pair Ahmad Ali and Abdul Karim Aljufri have been promoted by the NasDem Party with eight seats, five PKB seats, seven Gerindra seats, two PAN seats, one Hanura seat and one PPP seat.
