Officially Carried By PKS, Jalan Khofifah-Emil Dardak Makin Mulus Maju Pilgub East Java

PKS officially gave a recommendation for the investigation to Khofifah Indar Parawansa and Emil Dardak at the DPP PKS Jakarta Office, Thursday 18 July 2024 (VOI)

JAKARTA - The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) officially gave a recommendation to Khofifah Indar Parawansa and Emil Dardak in the Election of Governor and Deputy Governor of East Java.

With this, Khofifah and Emil have now been promoted by 7 political parties (political parties) to return to the 2024 Pilkada, namely Gerindra, Golkar, Democrats, PAN, PPP, PSI and PKS. There is one non-parliamentary political party that also supports this couple, namely the Period.

Thus, the incumbent pair's path is getting smoother because it is carried by the majority of political parties in the East Java DPRD parliament.

"Today, the PKS DPP can directly submit the PKS DPP decree on the basis of the results of the DPTP meeting on July 4, which was already in the SKK and we have given it directly to the candidate for Governor and candidate for Deputy Governor of East Java, namely to Mrs. Hj. Dr. Khofifah Indar Parawansa as a candidate for governor and Mr. Emil Dardak as a candidate for deputy governor," said PKS President Ahmad Syaikhu at the PKS DPP Office, South Jakarta, Thursday, July 18.

In the 2018 East Java gubernatorial election, PKS was not in the ranks of Khofifah-Emil supporters. However, Syaikhu admitted that his party saw that the couple proved to be able to run the East Java regional government for the 2018-2023 period well.

"In the process of traveling, we see that his performance in the local government is good. Moreover, there is an eco pesantren program, pays attention to Islamic boarding schools, as well as empowers their economy. Of course, we should appreciate this," said Syaikhu.

"Seeing the development of East Java like that, from the recommendation of the DPW, we agreed to give the mandate in the nomination process for the governor and deputy governor for Khofifah-Emil," he added.

After the commissioning recommendation, Syaikhu admitted that he would immediately instruct the ranks of the East Java PKS Regional Leadership Council to move to win Khofifah-Emil during the 2024 Simultaneous Pilkada.

Continuing, Khofifah admitted that she thanked PKS for joining the political party carriages that carried it. Khofifah is optimistic that she and Emil will win the Pilkada in East Java.

"Hopefully the victory will be closer. Of course, thanks to God's help, the synergy between all the supporting parties and their cadres will become a strength that God SWT will open the way for the upcoming election of governor and deputy governor on November 27," said Khofifah.
