The Label Of The Central Social Assistance Recipient's House In Cianjur Was Replaced From A Poor Family To Prosperous

JABAR - The Cianjur Regency Government (Pemkab) changed the label installed in the homes of residents receiving social assistance from the central government who were originally 'poor families' to 'presperous families' for various considerations.

Secretary of the Cianjur Social Service (Dinsos) Yudi Suhartoyo said that so far the word poor for recipients of social assistance is considered too rude and demeaning to recipients, so it is adjusted to local wisdom.

"In accordance with local wisdom, the term welfare family is used for residents who receive social assistance from the central government such as Direct Cash Assistance, Family Hope Program, Non-Cash Food Assistance or assistance from Village Funds," he said in Cianjur Wednesday, July 17, which was confiscated by Antara.

So that in the middle of this year, the writing label of the poor family displayed on the homes of the beneficiary was replaced with the writing of the family of the welfare, but the policy was returned to deliberations throughout the Cianjur area.

He explained that with the change of term, social assistance was more targeted because of the facts on the ground that many people had adequate but were still receiving social assistance.

"As the label is installed in each house, it can raise awareness for people who feel capable of not receiving assistance that is not their right, thus providing opportunities for people who are truly pre-sesejahtera," he said.

In fact, his party has socialized the change of the label to substitutions in sub-districts and villages throughout the Cianjur area, so that changes can be made in the middle of the year when the distribution of aid from the central government is carried out.

"We ask that the socialization be comprehensive for residents who receive assistance to remote areas so that later the label will be installed on the wall of the beneficiary's house," he said.

His party noted that more than 250 thousand families in Cianjur received social assistance from the central government, starting from BNT, PKH, BPNT and DD every year, this data will continue to be improved along with the high welfare families who can rise to become prosperous families.

"Various programs are carried out by local governments in a group, in order to reduce the number of pre-sesejahtera families in Cianjur, including providing training and assistance so that they can become MSME players with superior products," he said.
