PDIP Politicians Value The Minister Of Communication And Information Is More Appropriate To Resign From Prabowo

PDIP politician Deddy Yevri Sitorus assesses that Minister of Communication and Information Budi Arie Setiadi deserves to resign from his position rather than the Minister of Defense, Prabowo Subianto. Even though Prabowo is the President of the Republic of Indonesia elected for the 2024-2029 period.

Because as Minister of Communication and Information, Budi Arie is considered to have many problems. Worst of all, the National Data Center (PDN) server was hacked and millions of Indonesian population data was not backed up.

This was conveyed by Deddy in response to Prabowo whether he should resign as a minister, following the resignation of Gibran Rakabuming Raka as Mayor of Solo to prepare for the inauguration as Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia.

"If I think it's strange to step down now. Why did Mr. Prabowo step down now? He has a team to prepare it (the inauguration, ed). All of his programs have been prepared when he seems to have formed a team to formulate after he was declared the winner," said Deddy to reporters, Tuesday, July 16.

According to the chairman of the PDIP DPP, Prabowo is better off completing his duties as Minister of Defense until the end of this government period is over. In fact, said Deddy, Budi Arie, who should resign as Minister of Communication and Information because of his unsatisfactory performance.

"Yes, what are you going to do now? Solve it. If you have to step down, the Minister of Communication and Information doesn't work right, right? It's appropriate to step down. Unless there's a problem, you know," said the member of Commission VIII of the DPR.
