Unud GDLN Building Fire, 7 Fire Cars Deployed

A total of seven fire fighting fleets (damkar) from the Denpasar City Fire and Rescue Service, Bali, were deployed to deal with the fire at the Global Development Learning Network (GDLN) Building on Jalan PB Sudirman, Denpasar.

"The fire has gone down, now it's just a matter of cooling down," said Denpasar City Fire and Rescue Agency Head I Made Tirana, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 16.

Tirana said that his party received reports of a fire at the GDLN Building, Udayana University (Unud), Denpasar, at 13.40 WITA.

"Earlier we received a report at 13.40 WITA, then at 13.45 WITA we started handling it," he said.

Firefighters with seven fire engines from all posts were then deployed to overcome the fire at the GDLN Building.

"There was one building that caught fire because we were already handling it quickly, so it didn't spread to other buildings. Now it's just a matter of cooling down," said Tirana.
