GARUT - The Garut Regional Police arrested four rioters of a railway crossing guard in the Leuwigoong area, Garut Regency, West Java.
"We have managed to secure the four perpetrators along with evidence," said Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Garut Police, AKP Herman Saputra, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 15.
He said, the Garut Police together with the Resmob Team of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the West Java Police immediately moved to find the perpetrator after receiving a report from the victim Andika Tri Juliansyah (26) a resident of Cibatu District, Garut, a railway crossing guard of PT KAI.
As a result of the investigation, the joint team identified the perpetrators until they finally arrested them all in Bandung, Tuesday (14/7).
The four of them have initials IS (44), AW (35), NK (59), all of them residents of Garut, and DAM (31) a resident of Bandung City.
The police also seized evidence in the form of two motorcycles, clothes, and footwear used during the incident.
All the perpetrators of the beating were immediately taken to the Garut Police to undergo legal proceedings to account for their actions in persecuting officers who were guarding the railway crossing.
"Currently, investigators are still conducting intensive examinations, investigating the roles of each party, and completing the case file for further legal proceedings," he said.
The incident of persecution occurred at the Leuwigoong train crossing post, Sindangsari Village, Leuwigoong District, Garut, Sunday, (12/7) afternoon.
