4 Ex-KPK Employees Register As Capim For The 2024-2029 Period

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesia Calling (IM) 57+ Institute, M Praswad Nugraha said his four members registered as candidates for the KPK leadership (capim) for the period 2024-2029. All of them are former KPK employees.

Praswad detailed that the four former anti-corruption commission employees who registered were former Deputy for Internal Supervision and Public Complaints (PIPM) Herry Muryanto; former Director of Dikyanmas Giri Suprapdiono; former ACLC staff Hotman Tambunan; and former Head of the Household Division, Arien Marttanti Koesniar.

"At this time, there are four former KPK candidates who are members of the IM57+ Institute who have registered as a form of our commitment that the KPK must be filled by people with integrity," said Praswad in a written statement, Monday, July 15.

Praswad said that the KPK leadership has a strategic role. Thus, the Selection Committee (Pansel) is expected to choose the best leadership candidate to return the KPK to become an institution that is trusted by the public.

"It's time for the Pansel to work professionally to avoid various political interventions so that the Pansel can become a fort that produces 10 candidates with integrity," he said.

As previously reported, the candidates for the KPK Council and candidates are open for 20 days, from June 26 to July 15, 2024. Registration will be closed today at 24.00 WIB.

Later, after going through the registration process and other stages of selection, 10 Capim names and 10 KPK candidates will be submitted to President Joko Widodo to be forwarded to the DPR RI.
