APK In Bogor Cleaned, KPU: Please Hold Back, Just Campaign 2 Months Yesterday

JAKARTA - Campaign props or APKs in Bogor City began cleaning on Sunday, November 24 in the morning at the same time as entering a calm period ahead of the 2024 Pilkada voting day.

Chairman of the Bogor City KPU M. Habibi Zaenal Arifin stated that as of today at 00.00 WIB the campaign period in Bogor City had been completed so that there should no longer be campaigns in any form, both for the candidate pair for governor/deputy governor and the candidate pair for mayor/deputy mayor.

"All points in Bogor City, including in areas to remote areas, we clean them from campaign props, no longer being brought under control, together with the KPU, local Bawaslu, and elements of the local government," he said in Bogor City, Sunday, November 24, which was confiscated by Antara.

Habibi appealed to all pairs of candidates for regional heads not to carry out campaigns, either by going to the community, through campaign props, or through social media.

"Please hold back. Enough campaigns in the last two months. Hopefully, the community will be quite effective in accepting the vision and mission of the candidate pair," he said.

Acting (Pj) Bogor Mayor Hery Antasari deployed related agencies to assist the KPU, Bawaslu sejumlah, and the winning team of candidate pairs to clean up campaign props.

"Usually there are still many remaining APKs that have not been cleaned. When it is collected, we will manage it as well as possible by coordinating with the lo candidate pairs and how to do the KPU," he explained.

Hery emphasized that the cleaning of campaign props at various points, such as city transportation, electric poles, fences, and sticker-affixed walls.

"As a city that was previously orderly and clean, let's return it to order and clean as well," he said.

The chairman of the Bogor City Bawaslu, Herdiyatna, said that his party would continue to monitor until calm times, including helping clean up campaign props with the winning team for the 2024 Pilkada candidate pair.

"If someone is stubborn about potential violations, it is possible for us to act regulatorily," said Herdiyatna.
