JAKARTA - A member of the East Jakarta Metro Police was injured by a sharp weapon when he was about to disperse a brawl on the railway line and Jalan I Gusti Ngurah Rai, Kebon Singkong area, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta.

The brawl between the two groups of residents was known to have come from residents of Kebon Singkong, Duren Sawit District and residents of Cipinang Jagal, Pulogadung District, East Jakarta.

"Initially there was information that they wanted to fight, so the police went straight to the scene. When they were just about to fight, the Police had prevented them. Maybe they were not satisfied, they finally responded to the police members who came to disperse them," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly, Monday, July 15.

Currently, the victim's condition has been able to return to his activities after undergoing intensive care at the hospital.

"Alhamdulillah, Praise God, the police have been discharged from the hospital and can return to their activities," he said.

Kombes Nicolas appealed to the public, especially in East Jakarta, so that all parents who have teenage children must pay extra attention.

"All parents in East Jakarta, especially in order to always obey the law, always guide and supervise their children so that they also obey the law," he said.
