PATI - The Manpower Office of Pati Regency, Central Java, noted that five companies opened 10,800 job vacancies, especially for women to be employed in various fields of work.

"With that many vacancies, it should be able to reduce half of the number of open unemployed in Pati Regency, which amounts to around 25,000 people," said Head of the Pati Regency Manpower Office Bambang Agus Yunianto, Antara, Sunday, July 14.

He revealed that open unemployment is not without jobs at all, but they still often have jobs. In fact, the open unemployment rate in Pati is currently decreasing to 3.84 percent from the previous 4.29 percent.

Such conditions, he said, are experienced by today's young people, who want to get an easy job and a big salary.

As a result, he added, going in and out of work often occurs, because they are still looking for a place that they want. Meanwhile, the available job vacancies are for women. Meanwhile, the highest number of open unemployment in Pati Regency is male.

He noted that the five companies that opened job vacancies were PT Djarum, HWI, Dua Kelinci, PT Sejin Fashion Indonesia, and PT Nikorama Citra Tobako.

PT Djarum has 1,110 vacancies, 3,500 HWIs, 3,000 PT Dua Kelincis, 2,000 PT Sejins, and 1,250 vacancies for PT Nikorama.

Of the five companies, there are job vacancies in the cigarette industry, shoes, food, and fashion.

The job shortage, he said, had also been informed to the wider community, in the hope that it could be absorbed in the company they wanted.

Another effort to reduce open unemployment is to provide job training according to public interests.

"We have also opened many fields of expertise, ranging from culinary fields, makeup, sewing, engineering, to machinery," he said.

The work training program that was held was not only held in class but also held by bringing closer access to the community or the MTU training program (mobile training unit).
