JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin reminded that the challenges of holding large regional head elections (pilkada) require supervision of more than TNI/Polri personnel. This was conveyed by Ma'ruf during the Vice President's Briefing of Candidates for TNI/Polri Youth Officers in 2024 at Balai Sudirman, Jakarta, Thursday, July 11. "Not long after, we will hold simultaneous regional elections in all provinces in Indonesia. The challenges in regional elections are even greater, with more diverse dynamics in each region, as well as potential violations that require more supervision by personnel in the regions," said Ma'ruf as quoted by Antara. With good preparation, qualified governance, and strong synergy from all parties, according to Mar'uf, the 2024 Pilkada will be successful and produce quality regional leaders. The safe and orderly implementation of the 2024 General Election cannot be separated from the support of all elements of TNI/Polri soldiers who keep the holding of elections conducive. The collaboration and synergy of the TNI/Polri has proven to be able to suppress the potential threat of security during the implementation. Ma'ruf continued, the current task is to embrace all parties to unite together to build the nation.
