Food Prices Today, Red Cayenne Pepper Rises To IDR 43,260 Per Kg

JAKARTA - The National Food Agency (Bapanas) noted that the price of a number of food commodities generally rose as of Saturday morning, November 16, red cayenne pepper rose to Rp43,260 per kilogram (kg).

Based on data from the Bapanas Price Panel at 08.30 WIB, food prices at the retail level nationally, premium rice rose slightly by 0.78 percent or Rp120 to Rp15,540 per kg. Meanwhile, medium rice decreased slightly by 0.15 percent or Rp20 to Rp13,480 per kg, in contrast to rice, Bulog's supply stability and food prices (SPHP) rose 0.40 percent or Rp50 to Rp12,590 per kg.

Next, the onion commodity rose 2.93 percent or Rp. 1,100 to Rp. 38,130 per kg, as well as cob garlic rose 1.72 percent or Rp. 700 to Rp. 41,490 per kg.

Meanwhile, the price of curly red chili commodities fell at a price of 1.51 percent or Rp430 to Rp28,100 per kg, while red cayenne pepper rose 3.15 percent or Rp1,320 to Rp43,260 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of pure beef fell 0.58 percent or Rp780 to Rp133,780 per kg, while broiler meat rose 1.89 percent or Rp680 to Rp36,650 per kg, then broiler eggs also rose 1.48 percent or Rp420 to Rp28,740 per kg.

Next, the price of dried soybeans (imports) was observed to have slightly increased by 1.14 percent or Rp120 to Rp10,660 per kg, as well as consumption sugar slightly increased at the level of 0.39 percent or Rp70 to Rp17,990 per kg.

Then, simple packaged cooking oil was observed to increase 0.44 percent or Rp80 to Rp18,430 per kg, while bulk cooking oil fell 1.47 percent or Rp250 to Rp16,730 per kg. The next price of wheat flour fell 1.38 percent or Rp140 to Rp9,970 per kg, non-mass wheat flour also decreased 0.99 percent or Rp130 to Rp12,960 per kg.
