Democrats Carry Cadres In Central Sulawesi, Riau, Southeast Sulawesi And North Sulawesi Pilgubs

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) officially gave a recommendation for his cadres to become governor and deputy governor candidates in a number of regions. Among them are the Pilgub of Central Sulawesi, Riau, North, and Southeast Sulawesi.

In Central Sulawesi, AHY submitted a recommendation for the investigation to former Morowali Regent Anwar Hafid and Renny Lamadjido. Both are Democratic cadres.

"Pak Anwar Hafid is one of the best cadres in Central Sulawesi, he has been poor across his career, has been the regent of Morowali for 2 10-year periods, successfully bringing Central Sulawesi to prosperity," he said.

AHY revealed that Anwar also served as a member of the DPR for the 2019-2024 period in the Central Sulawesi electoral district (dapil).

"Therefore, Mr. Anwar Hafid again serves Central Sulawesi, which is his homeland. So we, the Democratic Party family, provide full support, hopefully, it can be successful as a candidate for governor," said AHY at the DPP Democrat Office, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, July 10.

Then, AHY gave a recommendation for the investigation to Muhammad Nasir and M. Wardan as Riau cagub-cawagub. Nasir is a cadre of the Demokat Party, while Wardan is a cadre of the Golkar Party who has served as Regent of Indragiri Hilir for the 2018-2023 period.

AHY explained that Nasir was a cadre who served as a member of the DPR for three terms, namely 2009-2024. AHY claimed that Nasir would run for the Riau gubernatorial election to contribute to the economy and the welfare of the people in Riau.

"As one of the main levels of the Democratic Party that is struggling, our big family of the Democratic Party certainly wants to give full support so that Pak Nasir's struggle for the Democrats in Riau province is successful and brings victory for the next 5 years," said AHY.

Furthermore, AHY's recommendation was given to EllyGGelbert Lasut and Michaela Elsiana Paruntu as cagub-cawagub North Sulawesi.

Elly lasut is a Democrat cadre who served as the Regent of the Talaud Islands for 3 periods, namely 2004-2009, 2009-2010, and 2020-2024. Elly has also served as Chair of the Talaud Islands DPRD for the 2003-2004 period.

"The road that has been going through is not easy. Since 5 years ago, actually this good intention has not found a way. However, he continues to be patient, steadfast, and continues to strive. This was proven during the 2024 election we went through, successfully increasing the votes and seats of the democratic party significantly," he explained.

Next, AHY submitted recommendations to Lukman Abunawas and La Ode Ida in the Southeast Sulawesi gubernatorial election. Lukman is a PDIP politician who is also a former Deputy Governor of Southeast Sulawesi for the 2018-2023 period.

"Pak Lukman departed from below. He was once the secretary of the sub-district head, sub-district head, regent, as the provincial secretary, to become deputy governor. Hopefully this time the plenary session will become the Governor of Southeast Sulawesi Province in the next 5 years," he explained.

Then, La Ode is a cadre of the Democratic Party who previously served as a member of the DPD RI for two terms. Then, he was also a member of the Ombudsman.

"I am sure that our two senior politicians, with a track record of bureaucracy and others, Pak Lukman and Pak La Ode Ida can become a strong, solid, and able to win the election and hopefully be elected governor and deputy governor for the next 5 years," he added.
