JAKARTA - A shark bit a Florida teenager's leg during a beach guard training camp.
The attack took place near the Ponce Inlet coast guard tower, Volusia County Coast Security officials said. The 14-year-old boy is training into the water.
The boy 'landed' to a black-tip shark, which witnesses say is 4 to 5 feet long, reports CBS affiliate, WKMG, Tuesday, July 9.
As a result of shark bites, this teenager should receive medical treatment by sewing the torn skin.
The attack on Monday, July 8 comes just days after two separate shark bites near New Smyrna Beach. A 26-year-old man was bitten in the leg while floating on an inner tire on Friday, and a 21-year-old man was bitten on Thursday while playing football in shallow water.
In June, a shark attack off the eastern coast of Florida caused a man to suffer a severe bite on his right arm.
