DPR Forms Hajj Questionnaire Special Committee, Wins Yaqut: Just Follow It, We Tell You As It Is

JAKARTA - Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qoumas assessed that the formation of the Special Committee (Pansus) for Hajj Supervision by the DPR RI was guaranteed a constitution. His party is ready to follow the process. "Yes, we'll just follow it. That's a process guaranteed by the constitution, right? We will follow that," said the Minister of Religion after accompanying President Joko Widodo to receive a Grand Syekh visit from Al-Azhar University as-Syarif, Cairo, Egypt, Ahmed Al Tayeb, at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Antara, Tuesday, July 9. Minister of Religion Yaqut said the Ministry of Religion would convey to the DPR all the hajj processes ranging from preparation to worship. "(We convey) what it is," said Minister of Religion Yaqut. The 21st Plenary Meeting of the DPR RI for Session Period V for Session Year 2023-2024, at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Tuesday, approved the establishment of the Special Committee (Pansus) for Hajj Supervision. Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar said the formation of the special committee and its membership composition were in accordance with applicable regulations.

The members of the Special Committee consisted of seven people from the PDI-P faction, Golkar Party (4), Gerindra Party (4), Nasdem Party (3), Democratic Party (3), PKS (3), PAN (2), and PPP (1).
