Head of the Emergency Handling and Logistics Division of the Southeast Sulawesi BPBD, Dedet Ilnary Yusta, said that based on data received from the Konawe BPBD, 400 hectares of rice fields were submerged due to flooding in Nambeaboru Village, North Tongauna District, Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi.

"About 400 hectares of rice fields, which are agricultural land, are flooded in the area," said Dedet, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 9.

According to Dedet, the report from the Konawe BPBD was caused by the high intensity of rain so that the Aworeka River overflowed in the area.

"The rain has been pouring down in the area since yesterday morning around 08.30 WITA until Thursday, so there is a flood with water levels varying from 50 to 100 centimeters," he said.

He explained that this agricultural land data was a report received from the Konawe BPBD since the floods that hit Nambeaboru Village.

"We have received this data since the flood," he said.

In addition to rice fields, there are also approximately 221 heads of families (KK) or 702 people in Nambeaboru Village, North Tongauna, Konawe, who were affected by the flood.

"Of the 702 people, there are 200 elderly people (elderly), 59 toddlers and one disability," he said.
