Ukraine Shoots Fall 21 Drones Russian Attack, Electricity To Thousands Of Houses Extinguished

JAKARTA - Ukraine shot down 21 of the 22 Shahed drones used in Russian attacks.

Ukraine's air defenses shot down the drone in six regions in northern and central Ukraine, the air force said.

The governor of northern Chernihiv said one of the drones attacked facilities in his area, without providing further details.

According to him, 5,000 residents in the area were still experiencing blackouts until Thursday morning.

Meanwhile, the Dnipropxisk district governor said air defenses shot down two drones in his area.

Earlier on Wednesday, July 3, Russian missile attacks in the Ukrainian Poltava region killed one person and injured three others.

"For the third day in a row, Russia attacks the Poltava area," said regional governor Filip Pronin on Telegram.

The Ukrainian air force said it shot down a Russian missile, identified as a type of kiosk-59/69, in the region. But the debris damaged schools and kindergartens, according to Pronin.

Russian missile and drone attacks also occurred in the city of Dnipro in Ukraine. This attack killed four civilians and injured 27 others.
