JAKARTA - Member of Commission II of the DPR from the PKS faction, Mardani Ali Sera, said that the dismissal of Hasyim Asy'ari due to immoral cases was a slap to the General Election Commission (KPU). Mardani reminded that in the future the selection of KPU members must be carried out carefully so that there is no order commissioner.

"I agree that this is something that makes us have to reflect, solve this problem, because this is repeated. The story of the last period of bribery, the story now is ethical. Therefore, this is a slap for us in Commission II to be more careful in choosing commissioners. Don't be too busy 'this is my path', don't. Choose those who have integrity and capacity. Mardani then revealed, during the election of the KPU commissioner, the time for the fit and proper test was carried out in three days. However, on the second day, he said, the names of the elected commissioners had been leaked.

"I was invited on one of the TVs, I said 'if this is the one chosen tomorrow, it means that there is a scenario' and that's bad. And if it's a case now, it could be proven that there are orders," explained Mardani.

According to the member of the electoral commission, many KPU candidates are good at the time of exposure and track record.

"It was good (but) not elected, sad. At that time I was very impressed with those from North Sulawesi, women, very good, but not elected," said the Jakarta electoral district legislator.

The chairman of the PKS DPP did not deny that there was an attractive attraction during the last fit and proper test. So he did not deny that there was a scenario behind Hasyim's election as chairman of the KPU.

"Similar to my statement, on the second day of the fit n proper test because the name has been released, I said that if the name is there tomorrow and it is true and the exact same 100 percent is the same, then there is a scenario," he said.

For this reason, said Mardani, Commission II of the DPR will summon the KPU and DKPP to ask for an explanation regarding the Hasyim issue. At the same time coordinating with the Ministry of Home Affairs.

"Because this is a big problem, my view must be called. I will voice in the commission, immediately sit together with the KPU, DKPP, Ministry of Home Affairs to discuss this issue," he concluded.
