JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) has examined more than 50 witnesses in the investigation of alleged corruption in the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program management. The examination of dozens of witnesses was carried out to strengthen the evidence of the case, which until now is still being developed.

Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) of the Attorney General's Office, Anang Supriatna, emphasized that the investigation into the alleged MBG corruption case was still proceeding according to procedure, even though the former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah was facing legal proceedings in another case.

"The investigation is still ongoing," Anang told reporters, Wednesday, July 15.

According to Anang, the examination of witnesses continues to be carried out to complete the evidence. So far, investigators have examined more than 50 people.

In this case, the Attorney General's Office first named three former leaders of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) as suspects, namely Dadan Hindayana (DH), Lodewyk Pusung (LP), and Sony Sonjaya (SS). The three of them are suspected of being involved in the corruption of the Free Nutritious Meal Program management at the BGN for the 2025-2026 period.

As the investigation progresses, the Attorney General's Office has again appointed a number of new suspects. They are Asep Yusuf Soemantri (AYS) from the private sector, Commissioner of PT YAT Andri Mulyono (AM), Chairman of the Indonesia Food Security Review Foundation (IFSR) Glory Harimas Sihombing (GHS), and Deputy Secretary for Promotion and Cooperation BGN Lalu Muhammad Iwan (LMI).

The Attorney General's Office emphasized that the investigation process would continue to uncover all parties suspected of being involved and complete the evidence through the examination of witnesses and other evidence.
