Erdogan-Putin Agree To Active International Policy Cooperation

JAKARTA - Russia and Turkey continue to strive actively in a number of the most important international policy directions.

This was conveyed by Russian President Vladimir Putin at talks with Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Astana, Kazakhstan, Wednesday, July 3.

"We continue to work actively on a number of the most important international policies. We continue to be in touch with you. Our ministries and institutions continue to exchange information and coordinate positions in key fields," Putin said.

Putin noted that Russia and Turkey cooperate in international organizations and associations.

We are very pleased to meet on the sidelines of SCO ( Shanghai Cooperation Organization). I am very happy with our new contact," concluded Putin.

On the sidelines of the SCO Summit, Putin also met Chinese President Xi Jinping. Putin said the Russia-China relationship, which was built on the principle of equality and mutual respect, was experiencing a golden age.

"We have stated that the comprehensive partnership relationship and Russia-Chingkok strategic cooperation are in the best period in their history. These relations are built based on the principles of equality, mutual benefit, and respect for each other's sovereignty," Putin said at a meeting in Astana.
