Out Of Hospital, Princess Anne Undergoes Recovery Of Head Injury At Home

JAKARTA - Princess Anne returned to her home in Gatcombe Park on Friday morning, after undergoing treatment at the hospital due to minor injuries and concussion, according to royal sources.

The British King Charles III's sister suffered an injury while walking near a horse on a royal plantation, in Gloucestershire, western England, on Sunday evening.

Princess Anne will continue to rest and recover at home, returning to public activities as her medical team recommends it is safe and convenient to do, the source told CNN, as reported June 28.

Meanwhile, her husband, Admiral Timmen, expressed his gratitude to the medical staff who took care of his wife.

"I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the entire team at Southmead Hospital for their care, expertise and kindness during my wife's brief visit," he said in a statement.

The exact situation that caused the injury to Princess Anne was unclear, but there was a horse around and previously her medical team said the head injury was in accordance with the potential for a collision from the head or legs of the horse.

Emergency services were sent to the scene and, after medical treatment at the scene, Princess Anne was transferred to Southmead Hospital in Bristol to undergo proper tests, treatments and observations.

Although it is not known how long Princess Anne will undergo her recovery period, she will receive rehabilitation support at home, because she follows standard concussion protocols.

Princess Anne is widely considered one of the most hard-working aristocrats, obediently carrying out hundreds of tasks every year. She was one of several senior aristocrats who went further to support the King when he had distanced himself from public duties after his cancer diagnosis.

Hospitalizations for five days left the princess unable to attend several events this week, including a state banquet at Buckingham Palace held for the Emperor and Queen of Japan on the first day of their state visit to the UK. He is also scheduled to travel to Canada for royal visit this weekend.
