West Java High Prosecutor's Office investigators examined dozens of witnesses in the disclosure of the alleged corruption case of ruislag (exchange) land belonging to the Karawang Regency Government with PT Jakarta Intiland.
"We are still investigating and the witnesses are still being questioned," said Head of the West Java High Prosecutor's Office, Nur Sricahyawijaya, when contacted by ANTARA from Karawang, Friday, June 28.
In handling the ruislag case that dragged the name of the Karawang Regional Secretary Acep Jamhuri, the witnesses who had been questioned were from the state civil apparatus (ASN) and the private sector.
"Until now, more than 40 witnesses have been questioned. Some of them are from ASN and from the private sector," he said.
In addition to examining witnesses, the West Java High Prosecutor's Investigation Team has also previously conducted a search of the pendopo and the Karawang Regional Secretary's room in Acep Jamhuri in mid-May 2024.
The search in the handling of the ruislag case was also carried out at the Karawang Room Public Works and Spatial Planning Office and at the Karawang Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency Office.
A number of documents were obtained by the West Java Prosecutor's Office Investigation Team from a number of search points.
In accordance with information from the investigative team, the search was related to a corruption case in the implementation of ruislag belonging to the Karawang Regency Government in the form of land covering an area of 4,935 m2 located on Jalan Tuparev Karawang with PT Jakarta Intiland land covering an area of 59,087m2.
