9 Defendants Of Persecution To Death Sentenced To 7.5 Years In Prison

SITUBONDO - The panel of judges at the Situbondo District Court, sentenced nine defendants to abuse until the victim died.

In the verdict of the child trial, Chief Judge I Gede Karang Anggayasa stated that the nine defendants in the case of mistreatment of the victim with the initials MF (15) to death were proven and convincing.

"Sentenced the nine children to imprisonment for 7 years and 6 months each," said I Gede Karang Anggayasa while reading the verdict at the Cakra 1 Session Room at the Situbondo District Court, East Java, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, June 26.

In addition, the panel of judges also imposed a 6-month job training crime in the field of marketing UD Sengon fish, Lesanan Lor Hamlet, Coastal Village, Besuki District, Situbondo Regency.

The defendants in this child protection case were also set for the period of arrest and detention that had been served by the children, all of which were reduced by the sentence imposed and determined that they should be detained.

The panel of judges also sentenced the defendant's family to IDR 181,670,635.00, this fee must be paid for by the family of nine children.

Each child's parents has to pay restitution to the victim's family of Rp. 20 million.

The judge also determined that the evidence in the form of a cellphone should be returned to the witness, including two motorbikes to be auctioned off, and the results were handed over to the victim's family as a fulfillment of the rights of the victim's family.

The trial of the child case with the agenda of reading this decision was chaired by Chief Judge I Gede Karang Anggayasa and two member judges, namely I Made Muliartha and Son Agung Putra Wiratjaya.

Meanwhile, the Public Relations official of the Situbondo District Court Anak Agung Putra Wiratjaya said that the panel of judges sentenced nine defendants not to the same as the public prosecutor's demands.

The public prosecutor previously demanded that each defendant be different because it adjusted to his role, namely that there were several defendants who were sentenced to 7 years and 6 months and 7 years and 3 months.

"The consideration of the panel of judges is that all the defendants committed the same act, resulting in the victim's death. So, the judge is of the opinion that the role of all the defendants is the same and the punishment is the same," he said.

The persecution until the victim died by nine children against MF (15) occurred on Sunday (19/5).

The victim was abused until MF was unconscious and was treated at the Waluyo Jati Krarsaan Hospital, Probolinggo Regency, then died on Sunday (26/5).
