Babies Killing Babies 2 Toddlers In Buffalo Washington Shot, Perpetrators Use Revolver

JAKARTA - Two teenage boys have been charged in a shooting that killed a 3-year-old child and injured his 7-year-old sister outside the home of the victim, Buffalo, Washington, a week ago. "Technically, babies kill babies," said Mayor Byron Brown during a press conference quoted from Abcnews, Wednesday, June 26. The two perpetrators are still 14 and 16 years old. 3-year-old victim Ramone Carter was shot while riding his three-wheeled bicycle outside the house. Meanwhile, his sister, Jamia Griffin, was injured. "The three-year-old Ramone Carter and 7-year-old Jamia Griffin were not targeted when the suspects opened fire on another young man at around 9:30 a.m. on June 21," said Regional Attorney Erie Michael Keane. The child's mother, Shakenya Griffin told Buffalo News the next morning that she heard gunshots and ran out looking for her children. "He ran into my neck, and he was covered in blood," he said. "I collapsed on my neighbor's grass and said callung” Keane said that each teenager fired illegal weapons, one of which was a gun and the other was a revolver. The two boys were charged with murder, attempted murder, assault, and possession of weapons and detained without collateral at a juvenile detention facility. Older boys will be sentenced to adults if found guilty, prosecutors said. The names of the teenagers are kept secret because of their age. Police Commissioner Joseph Gramaglia praised the cooperation of witnesses in directing the police to the suspects, given how officers who arrived at the scene had taken Ramone himself to the hospital in the hope of rescuing him. "They can put the poor baby in a police car, race the baby into (Eriie Regency Medical Center) to try to give him a chance to survive," Gramaglia said. "Unfortunately, we all know that that's not the result. The baby was declared dead in hospital.” Keane declined to comment on his possible motive when asked if the shooting was possibly linked to a gang.

"It seems they are targeting other people," Brown said. "But the fact that these children have weapons and are eager to use them indiscriminately is what brought us to this point today.”
