JAKARTA - Israel's airstrikes on the Gaza Strip region killed a number of family members of the Head of the Political Bureau of Hamas Ismail Haniyeh, including his sister, on Tuesday.
According to medical sources, at least 10 people from Haniyeh's family were killed in Israeli airstrikes at their home in the Shati refugee camp, west of Gaza City, reported Anadolu June 25.
Another Israeli airstrike targeted two schools used as shelters in the Al-Daraj neighborhood, the eastern Gaza City and in the Shati refugee camp, causing a number of casualties.
Quoting Roya News from Palestinian media, those who died included Zaher Abdul Haniyeh (Um Nadhir), Nadhir Ghazi Haniyeh, Iman Ahmed Haniyeh (wife of Nadhir Ghazi Haniyeh), Mohammed Nadhir Haniyeh, Ismail Nadhir Haniyeh, Moumen Nadhir Haniyeh, Zaher Nadhir Haniyeh, Shahd Nadhir Haniyeh and Amal Nadhir Haniyeh
On April 10, three sons and two grandchildren of Haniyeh were killed in an Israeli air strike targeting their car at Camp Sahati.
Separately, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Tuesday said their fighter jets attacked two buildings in Sahati and within Daraj, Gaza City allegedly used by Hamas, quoted from The Times of Israel.
