Regarding The Minister's Regulation In The Prabowo-Gibran Cabinet, AHY: Not Giving Carelessly

PONTIANAK - Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) emphasized that the distribution of ministerial posts in Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka's cabinet was not just a division of power rations.

According to him, the distribution of ministerial rations to supporting parties is a strength for Indonesia's development in the future.

"The idea is called power sharing. It's not arbitrary sharing, but indeed the power that is distributed appropriately, proportionally. The most important thing is what the big goal is," said AHY, Monday, June 24.

AHY said that political parties that are members of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) that support Prabowo-Gibran, have the same goal to make the national leadership successful in the future.

"Of course the people who will feel it. We who have the mandate certainly have a moral responsibility to make the Prabowo-Gibran government successful in the next five years," he said.

AHY emphasized that the division of political power is very important. Prabowo Subianto as president-elect also emphasized his commitment to politics.

"Pak Prabowo is a figure who is very committed. Since the beginning he was together in the struggle to win the election and even oversee the government for the next five years. I hold it there," said AHY.

For this commitment, the Democrat Party does not want to be a political burden for the Prabowo-Gibran government in the next five years. The former TNI soldier said the Democratic Party would prepare the best cadres to fill the position in the government in accordance with the posts deemed suitable for the Democratic Party.

"I asked again, where did Pak Prabowo assign us? I will prepare the people. To be able to carry out their duties, hopefully, it will not disappoint," he said.

According to him, there is no intervention for Prabowo to provide ministerial positions. It is limited to discussion or political communication that continues with the party's views regarding composition within the political parties.

"This is our competence but the prerogative is the president. He said that if you want a strong resource, you have to be right on target, the right man on the right place. This means that he has principles like that," said AHY.

The Democratic Party, continued AHY, was also open when asked to carry out this task. Especially if it is placed in a ministry post that is in accordance with the political principles of his party.

AHY emphasized that the Democrats will show their commitment in guarding the government in the next five years.

This is the political responsibility of the party that chooses to join the government. "As long as I lead the Democrats, I want to show that if we join the government, we will be responsible physically and mentally," he said.
