Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Hadi Tjahjanto emphasized that the JudiOnline Task Force (Satgas) will cut off the route to play online gambling.

Apart from that, theOnline Judi Task Force also involved village development (babinsa) and bhayangkara supervisors of security and public order (bhabinkamtibmas) supervising payment access that could be misused for online gambling.

"The task force will later cut off overseas routes, especially the access provider network (NAP). We will break it. If we have cut the access provider net, it means that the route to provide this playing space is no longer there," said Coordinating Minister Hadi as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, June 21.

He explained that currently the Online Judi Task Force moved directly to the bottom to cut off payment access to play judionline.

"The main thing is that now the police in the field are bhabinkamtibmas and Babinsa continue to monitor the sale and purchase of accounts, and also the supervision of the minimarket which sells refill pulses for top-up playing judionline," said Hadi.

"This is what I ask to be closed, except for the service to pay for telephones or communication tools, please," he continued.

He stated that the Online Judi Task Force will continue to monitor the trend of gambling activities in Indonesia, especially after the prevention measures are taking place.

President Joko Widodo on June 14, 2024 officially formed the Online Judi Eradication Task Force as stipulated in Presidential Decree Number 21 of 2024. The Online Judi Eradication Task Force was led by the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.

Hadi Tjahjanto during a press conference on June 19 stated that the gambling network was related to the practice of buying and selling accounts that often target people in rural areas.

"This will be done in the next one to two weeks," said Hadi Tjahjanto.

To monitor and eradicate this, the Online Judi Eradication Task Force involved the TNI Babinsa and Bhabinkamtibmas Polri as well as the Financial Transaction Analysis Report Center (PPATK).

PPATK has so far recorded 4,000-5,000 accounts suspected of being involved in a gambling network. The data was submitted by PPATK to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police for further handling.

Later, Bareskrim Polri will announce the suspected account to the account owner, then give them up to 30 days to confirm ownership of the account.

If in 30 days no community will admit ownership of the account, then Bareskrim will hand over the money to the state.

Furthermore, Hadi continued, Bareskrim traced the owner of the account. "We will see, we will investigate, then the police will be able to summon the account owner and conduct a legal investigation and process it," said Hadi.
