Eid Holiday, Jasa Marga Records 376,175 Vehicles Leaving Jabotabek

JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk noted that 376,175 vehicles had left the Jabotabek area on D-3 to D-2 for the long holiday period of Eid al-Adha or on Friday-Saturday, June 14 to 15, 2024.

Jasa Marga Marketing & Communication Department Head, Faiza Riani, said that this figure is the cumulative number of traffic flows (traffic) from the four Main Toll Gates (GT), namely Cikupa GT (to Merak), Ciawi GT (to Puncak), and Cikampek Utama GT (to Trans Java) and Kalihurip Utama GT (to Bandung).

"The total volume of traffic leaving the Jabotabek area increased by 27.44 percent compared to normal traffic," he said in an official statement, Sunday, June 16.

Faiza said the majority of vehicles were 204,753 vehicles (54.43 percent) heading East (Trans Java and Bandung). Then, 86,982 vehicles (23.12 percent) headed for the West (Merak) and 84,440 vehicles (22.45 percent.

The details of the distribution of traffic during the D-3 and D-2 long holiday periods of Eid al-Adha are vehicles leaving Jabotabek heading towards Trans Java via GT Cikampek Utama Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, with a total of 108,097 vehicles, or an increase of 98.20 percent from normal traffic.

Furthermore, vehicles leaving Jabotabek heading towards Bandung via GT Kalihurip Utama Cipularang Toll Road, with a total of 96,656 vehicles, increased by 39.27 percent from normal traffic.

"The total traffic leaving Jabotabek towards Trans Java and Bandung through the two GTs is 204,753 vehicles, an increase of 65.20 percent from normal traffic," he explained.

Faiza said the vehicles leaving Jabotabek heading towards Merak via the Cikupa GT Tangerang-Merak Toll Road were recorded at 86,982 vehicles, 7.18 percent lower than normal traffic.

Meanwhile, the number of vehicles leaving Jabotabek towards Puncak via GT Ciawi Jagorawi Toll Road was 84,440 vehicles, an increase of 8.92 percent from normal traffic.

Furthermore, Faiza said that on the D-2 long holiday of Eid al-Adha 1445H/2024 or Saturday, June 15, 2024, traffic leaving Jabotabek at four main toll gates was recorded at 201,198 vehicles, an increase of 36.49 percent from normal traffic.
