JAKARTA - TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto responded to the rise of online gambling practices that also targeted the TNI environment. Moreover, two TNI soldiers died as a result of ending their lives and were allegedly triggered by online gambling practices. The TNI Commander emphasized that he would punish soldiers caught involved in online gambling practices or judol. On the other hand, the Commander will give awards to outstanding soldiers. "So the TNI has a reward and punishment. If he is wrong, there is punishment, there is a law. Military disciplinary law," said General Agus at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, June 12. "Now there are many online gambling, yes we are legal. There is also a reward if he excels, we give awards in the form of schools, extraordinary promotions," he added. The Commander gave special attention to the judol case involving his soldiers. He reminded that anyone who violates will be punished. "Yes, that was it. If he violates us, there are rules," said Panglima Agus. Previously, a soldier with the initials PSG was found dead on Tuesday, June 4 at 00.10 WIB in the OB room of Yonkes Field Hospital 1/YKH/1 Kostrad, Cimandala Village, Sukaraja District, Bogor Regency. The victim was found dead by a soldier who was on picket duty. Picket soldiers then reported the incident to the Yonkes Commander (Danyonkes) and Upper Command. Furthermore, the Assistant for Intelligence (Asintel) Division arrived at the Kostrad Health Center to carry out visum et repertum on the victim.

Based on information received in Jakarta, Tuesday, June 4, the victim allegedly died and committed suicide due to stress in debt. The victim reportedly applied for a loan at BRI Kesatuan, but was not received by the Commander of Infantry Battalion 1 Kostrad.
