Thousands Of Palestinian Pro Demos, Urges Israel To Stop War In Gaza

Thousands of protesters marched in the port city of Mohammedia in western Morocco to show solidarity with Gaza by calling for an end to genocide and praising the resilience of the Palestinian people.

As reported by ANTARA from Anadolu, Monday, June 10, the protest was organized by the MORoccan Front in Support of Palestine and Against Normalization Movement which is said to include political organizations, trade unions and human rights.

Protesters chanted slogans urging the protection of civilians and aid deliveries to Gaza. They also condemned the massacres carried out by Israeli soldiers at the Al-Nuseirat camp in Gaza and other acts of violence against Palestinians.

Demonstrations continued through major roads in Mohammedia before participants gathered in the city center. On Saturday (8/6), Israeli forces launched heavy and air artillery strikes in refugee camps, killing at least 274 people and injuring nearly 700 others according to local health authorities, resulting in widespread criticism.

Israel has continued its brutal attacks on Gaza since the attack by the Palestinian group Hamas on October 7, despite UN Security Council resolutions demanding an immediate ceasefire.

More than 37,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza with most of the victims being women and children. While nearly 84,500 others were injured, according to local health authorities.

Eight months after Israel's war, much of Gaza's territory was destroyed by food blockades, clean water, and crippling medicines.

Israel is accused of committing genocide at the International Court, whose latest decision ordered Tel Aviv to immediately stop its operations in the southern city of Rafah, where more than one million Palestinians sought refuge from war before it was invaded on May 6.
