Viral Video Of Gas Cylinder Explosion In Duri Kosambi, West Jakarta, Police Explain The Cause

JAKARTA - The explosion incident allegedly came from a gas cylinder that occurred in a house located in Block E2 in the Duri Kosambi area, Cengkareng, West Jakarta.

Cengkareng Police Chief Commissioner Hasoloan Situmorang confirmed the incident. His party has also checked the scene.

"The incident occurred on Thursday, June 06, 2024 at 06.00 WIB. At that time, the Household Assistant (ART) initial I was finishing cooking and the stove position was not on," said Commissioner Hasoloan when confirmed by VOI, Friday, June 7, evening.

Furthermore, when ART was washing dishes, suddenly an explosion was heard from under the dish wash.

"According to the owner of the house, it is suspected that the cause was a loose and detached gas regulator hose," he said.

After the explosion, almost all the items in the kitchen area were destroyed and bounced. In fact, the ART with the initials I also bounced because of the loud explosion.

"There was a kitchen kit that was damaged and messy. The initials I ART suffered minor injuries to his leg," he said.

Until now, the case is still under investigation by the Cengkareng Police.

The incident of the gas cylinder explosion went viral on social media. Netizens also shared the video with the WhatsApp group, as an appeal to be more careful.
