JAKARTA - The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) reported that four victims died in a landslide that occurred in Ende Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

He explained that the four victims were known to have come from a family of a resident of Rewarangga Village, East Ende District.

The victims were evacuated by joint officers and other local residents from piles of house materials that collapsed due to landslides.

The BNPB team confirmed that the evacuation of victims took place moments after the disaster triggered by heavy rains on Friday morning at around 06.00 WITA.

"They are already in the handling of the family," he said.

Until now, a joint team of BPBD officers, Basarnas, Tagana, TNI/Polri are still on standby at the scene to assist residents' needs as well as anticipate the impact of further disasters.
